PARK SLOPE SENIOR CENTER - ENGAGE TOOLKIT
The Engage Toolkit is designed to enable open dialogue about mental health in order to promote a stigma-free environment for senior centre members.
HIGHLY COMMENDED WORK AWARD, PRATT INSTITUTE, NY
This project was a response to the brief ‘Design for our Future Selves’. Our initial research insights led us to focus on the challenges surrounding elderly depression and mental health. We carried out human-centred and ethnographic research with residents of the Heights and Hills Parkslope Center for Successful Ageing, Brooklyn. The resulting four tools inform participants of key information, provide opportunities to share perceptions, experiences and worries and encourage residents to seek further help or support if needed.
