KEIO UNIVERSITY - ENGAGE WORKSHOP
The Engage Workshop is a 90-minute workshop for Japanese college students to engage in an open discussion about mental health.
The workshop provides education and opportunities for college students and facilitators to discuss mental health in order to generate awareness and address the high levels of stigma, both internal and external, surrounding the topic. We initially adapted and translated the Engage Toolkit prototype that we had developed in New York. We tested this with Japanese students from Keio University in Tokyo and from the feedback and insights gained from our research we developed a new brief and concept that were more appropriate to the different users and cultural context. The finished prototype was tested at Keio University in May 2017.
